The 16th ICT conference organized by the Federation of Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) and Internet Society (ISOC) Nepal concluded on February 02,2016 in Kathmandu discussing the challenges and solutions of cyber security threats for developing economies.

Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission, Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwoda was present as a chief guest for the concluding ceremony.

The two day conference hosted series of prominent speakers from USA, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Dr. Richard Lamb, Sr. Program Manager, ICANN, gave a keynote speech on Cyber Opportunities highlighting the need of coordination among the stakeholders in the forthcoming wave of Internet of Things (IoT).

The conference discussed Critical Infrastructure and Protection; Combating Cyber Security incidents in Nepal; Security of E-enabled Services and Applications and Surveillance and Privacy. Cyber security experts and professionals from Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh participated in a panel discussion to discuss cyber security incidents in South Asia and developing regional collaboration.
